Journalists turned out in great number in a protest rally against ban on Geo news. The protest rally was taken out from Karachi Press Club (KPC), later a token sit-in was staged in front of the Chief Minister House. Journalists, civil society members, lawyers and activists of various political parties participated in the rally. The participants chanted slogans in favour of freedom of media and expression. They also demanded that the government should immediately restore Geo news transmission on cable.
